Its eleven-group/sixteen-element optical design features five “F” Low-Dispersion elements and four aspherical elements that correct for chromatic aberrations and color fringing while ensuring high image sharpness, clarity, and contrast throughout the zoom range. Super Multi-Layer and Nano Porous coatings minimize lens flare and ghosting, helping to provide high contrast even in strong lighting.

Fast, Quiet Autofocus System. The 16-28mm’s integrated stepping autofocus motor provides fast, quiet operation in a broad range of shooting situations, and its optimized AF algorithm helps facilitate smooth performance. You can also manually override the autofocus motor at any time by rotating the focusing ring, giving you quick fine-tuning ability. You get a 9.8-inch minimum focusing distance with a 1:5.6 maximum magnification.

Dock Compatible. This lens is compatible with the Sigma USB Dock for Leica Lenses (separate rental item), allowing you to adjust the focus limiter, autofocus speed, microfocus, and OS settings through the Sigma Optimization Pro software.
