The Teradek Bolt 1000 XT 3G-SDI/HDMI Dual Gold Mount Kit is a mid-range, zero delay, wireless video system and an update to the Teradek Bolt Pro 1000. Key features include:

XT Upgrades This mid-range wireless kit features the same 3G-SDI and HDMI inputs and wireless video transmission range rating as the previous Teradek Bolt Pro 1000 but is housed in a redesigned lightweight, aluminum chassis with transmitter-integrated ARRI rosette. Other improvements include dual SDI outputs for the receiver and pass through power compatibility.

1080/60p Wireless Monitoring. The Teradek Bolt 1000 XT 3G-SDI/HDMI Dual Gold Mount Kit supports uncompressed 10-bit 4:2:2 1080p video at up to 60 frames per second with less than 1ms of latency. The built-in spectrum analyzer helps you monitor your signal strength and the channel selection tool gives you control over your signal configuration. Need 4K capability? 1:1 Kit That’s Expandable. This kit includes one transmitter and one receiver; however, the Bolt 1000 XT transmitter lets you send video to up to four Bolt 1000 XT, Bolt 1000, Sidekick II, Sidekick LT, Sidekick XT, or 703 Bolt receivers simultaneously.

Gold-Mount & NP-F/LP-E6 Powered. In addition to a single D-Tap cable and 6-foot AC adapter, we include one gold pass-through plate attached to the receiver unit for standard gold mount brick batteries and one Sony/Canon bidirectional battery plate attached to the transmitter for powering via your choice of Sony L-series or Canon LP-E6N battery. Do note, batteries / chargers are not included with the kit but are available for rent separately.

Realistic Wireless Expectations. While this kit is rated for wireless transmission up to 1,000 feet without break-up or image degradation, performance varies greatly from one location to the next. In our experience, we’ve found use at the maximum distance generally unreliable under normal circumstances due to RF interference and recommend stepping up to a long-range option or pairing with an Antenna Array when achieving long distance transmission is critical.

Q & A

What's the best way to pair this kit?

While pairing in the field without a computer is an option, we highly recommend using the Bolt Manager app and a laptop, at least for initial setup. Software pairing should be the first step, with field pairing only being used as necessary to troubleshoot dropouts or interference on location. We include USB-A cables, so you’ll just need a computer with enough USB-A ports to accommodate the devices. If you’re pairing multiple receivers to a single transmitter, a USB hub might be helpful. Instructions for both software pairing and field pairing are included in the rental.

Does this rental include batteries or chargers?

This rental does not include batteries or chargers but they are available as separate rental items. The receiver is compatible with standard gold mount brick batteries. The transmitter features a bi-directional plate that is compatible with your choice of Sony L-series or Canon LP-E6N battery.

Does this rental include any mounting hardware?

The Bolt 1000 XTs feature several versatile mounting options including 1/4-20 threads on the transmitter and 3/8-16 ARRI standard mounts on the receiver. The receiver also features an integrated nato rail. If you need the nato lock and rail clamp, they are available by request.
