We include two Sony L-series battery plates, two Hawk-Woods DV-F790 L-Series Batteries and one Sony AC-VQ1051D Battery Charger with the rental.

This kit also includes a single AC adapter in case you need a continuous, long-term power option.

Additionally, this kit includes one Teradek 2-Pin LEMO to D-Tap Cable for use with Gold Mount and V-Mount setups. Additional cables are available as separate rental items.

While pairing in the field without a computer is an option, we highly recommend using the Bolt Manager app and a laptop, at least for initial setup. Software pairing should be the first step, with field pairing only being used as necessary to troubleshoot dropouts or interference on location. We include USB-A cables, so you’ll just need a computer with enough USB-A ports to accommodate the devices. If you’re pairing multiple receivers to a single transmitter, a USB hub might be helpful. Instructions for both software pairing and field pairing are included in the rental.

The Teradek Bolt 500 is rated to transmit a signal, line-of-sight, without environmental interferences, up to 500-feet away. This is factory data and does not reflect most real life scenarios.

Even with line-of-sight, it is unlikely that most people will be shooting in an environment without interference. You should always plan your wireless needs conservatively. If you need to be able to transmit over 300-feet, we recommend the Teradek Bolt 1000.

If you are not going to be line-of-sight, you may need to reconsider your configuration altogether. Contact us if you have any questions or concerns regarding your wireless setup.

This kit does not ship with the receiver and transmitter paired. By default, the transmitter and receiver are designed to find the strongest frequency at close range within the first few seconds of powering on. We recommend pairing this kit on location to achieve the strongest possible connection.

No, each Bolt series can only send and receiver signals to other units within that same series.

We also rent additional Teradek Bolt 500 SDI/HDMI Receivers as a simple add-on for multiple receiver setups.

The Bolt 500 transmitter can send it’s signal to up to 4x Bolt 500 receivers.

This rental doesn’t include HDMI or SDI cables. If you need them, we offer HDMI cables and SDI cables as separate rental items.
