Do I need this cable if I'm renting additional motors from Lensrentals?

No. If you are renting additional motors from us, a 7-pin motor-to-motor cable will be included with the Tilta Nucleus-M Motor Add-On Kit, and additional d-tap cables are not required.

Is this d-tap compatible with any products other than the Nucleus-M follow focus system?

No. This cable is intended specifically to power Nucleus-M motors and we do not recommend using it with any other products.
