Do I need anything else to use the FJ-X3m Wireless Radio Trigger with a Sony camera?

Yes! Sony uses a unique hotshoe that requires additional communication between the trigger and camera. You will need to also rent the Westcott Sony Adapter for FJ-X2m Flash Trigger for use with a Sony camera that features the Multi-Interface Shoe (MIS).

How are these strobes triggered?

With this kit, we include a FJ-X3m Universal Flash Trigger for wireless control.
