XR or Extra Refractive Index Glass is a special type of glass with a high index of refraction. XR Glass allows for a more compact lens construction in terms of length and diameter, as compared to a lens made of customary glass with the same luminosity and optical performance.
Di II refers to Tamron’s second generation of Digitally Integrated Design lenses featuring coatings and designs to prevent ghosting and flare as well as reducing vignetting with modern digital cameras.
You can only use this lens with Canon crop-sensor cameras.
