Blow Off The Dust. If your closet looks like a graveyard of those nearly-antique Super 8 and 8mm reels of film, the Wolverine MovieMaker PRO 8mm/Super 8 Converter is made for you. This converter/scanner brings your old film back to a new, digitized life through its 3.53MP 1/3" CMOS sensor. The scanner grabs each individual frame without skipping a beat, producing detailed Full HD 1080p video at 20 fps.
SD/SDHC Recording, Monitor Viewing. The MovieMaker PRO sports a SD/SDHC memory card slot that accept cards up to 32GB, and the USB port can be used to transfer files directly to a laptop or computer. If you’d like to watch your film on a larger screen as it records to your memory card, we include a 5 foot RCA cable that is designed to connect the converter to a monitor.
X-Men Operation. Once your power cord is plugged in and your memory card is inserted, you’ll flip up the supply reel that hosts your Super 8/8mm film reels. The included reel adapter can be added to increase the diameter of the middle pin to hold Super 8 reels securely. Once your reel is secured on that side, you’ll use one of the two 7-inch or 5-inch 8mm film reels to catch the film as it rolls through the scanner. From here, you’ll use the printed diagram to properly roll the film through the scanner, then utilize the menu screen to adjust exposure and other settings. Since this can be a finicky task, we recommend using the provided manual on this page to take you step by step.
