i1Studio Device. The ColorMunki X-Rite i1Studio Spectrophotometer supports the Calibrite software, which lets you intuitively calibrate and profile monitors, projectors, scanners, and printers. The ColorTRUE app enables you to calibrate your Apple iOS mobile device so that it matches the images as displayed on your desktop.
Monitor Calibration and Profiling. The X-Rite i1Studio’s Intelligent Iterative Profiling system gives you maximum color accuracy on each monitor you use, while its Flare Correct system automatically adjusts your display profile for glare and flare. This spectrophotometer also supports multiple-monitor profiling; lets you create unique patch sets for different monitors; and gives you custom control over white point, luminance, contrast ratio, and gamma.
Printer Profiling. Its RGB and CMYK printer-profiling technology provides complete color control along with optimized printer profiling, and has the ability to optimize specific colors, black and white shades, and flesh tones to ensure that the color you see is the color you get. You simply scan one test chart of fifty patches, and the i1Studio calculates an interim profile and learns how your printer behaves for these colors. It then produces a second chart that perfects your profile once you scan it.
Camera Profiling. You can use the ColorChecker camera-calibration software and included Mini ColorChecker Classic Target to create custom camera profiles, set a custom white balance, and set a neutral starting point for easier editing.
Projector Calibration and Profiling. The i1Studio Spectrophotometer feature lets you quickly and easily build an accurate projector profile, so that your projections match your monitor. This process takes room conditions—including projected colors, screen color, and room lighting—into account so that your projected images look exactly right.
Black and White Calibration and Profiling. New to the X-Rite i1Studio is the ability to easily generate monochrome profiles for black-and-white printers. You get black-and-white neutral-tone, sepia, and platinum-look profiles to suit a range of monochrome-printing needs.
Scanner Calibration and Profiling. Scanner profiling is simple to perform, but does require the use of a ColorChecker Classic, ColorChecker Digital SG, Reflective IT 8.7/2, Transmissive 4×5, or 35mm IT8.7/1 target. We do not carry any of those targets, so you’ll need to provide one of your own to complete scanner profiling.
