The Nikon 19mm f/4E ED PC-E is a wide-angle tilt-shift lens for Nikon F-Mount cameras. Key features include:
97° angle of view
Great for architectural, landscape, and fine-art photography
Independent tilt and shift rotation
Advanced optical design for high-quality images
Full-Frame Coverage. The 19mm provides a whopping 97° angle of view. That’s really wide. Like really, really wide, which makes it an excellent choice for landscape and architecture photography. But more on that later.
Tilt-Shift Function. Enables perspective and depth-of-field control of your subject. It offers +/-7.5º tilt adjustment and +/-12mm shift adjustment, as well as the ability to rotate up to 90º in either direction. It’s worth noting that the 19mm features independent rotation of the tilting mechanism for both tilt and shift, so that they can be performed either parallel or perpendicularly to one another.
Optics. The thirteen-group/seventeen-element optical formula features two aspherical elements providing images with great corner sharpness and minimal optical aberrations. The Nano Crystal anti-reflective coating aids in preventing lens flare and ghosting, while the fluorine coating at the front and rear prevents smudges.
Common Uses. Tilt-shift/perspective-control lenses are most commonly used for architectural and landscape photography, as well as some product photography. The ability to manipulate the focal plane also makes them a popular choice for fine art photography.
