Pass On CFast. The Blackmagic Design URSA Mini Recorder is an add-on accessory for select URSA cameras that allows you to record directly to a solid state drive at up to 900 Mbps instead of less-capable CFast or SD memory cards. Please note, SSDs are not included with this rental.
U.2 NvMe Compatible. This recorder is physically compatible with 2.5" SSDs commonly used by other video products but few drives have enough bandwidth to record RAW or 4K+ footage. For reliable performance while capturing high resolutions and/or BRAW, we recommend using a Blackmagic approved U.2 NvMe disk like the Samsung 983 DCT Series 1.9TB.
Start/Stop & Battery Pass-Through. This recorder connects to the camera’s rear molex port and passes power from a compatible battery plate to the camera. Camera communication is handled by an attached USB Type-C cable and allows for direct from the camera SSD recording start/stop and memory information.
Using A Non-12K URSA Mini? This recorder is ONLY compatible with 12K URSA Mini Pros and URSA Broadcast G2 (B4) cameras. If you’ll be using a previous generation camera such as the Blackmagic Design URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2, you’ll want to rent the Blackmagic Design URSA Mini SSD Recorder.
