Also a heads up: I need to do some more digging, but I also rented the Blackmagic Video Assist to generate 1080p proxies along with the Q3 12K files. Although the cam will automatically trigger the Video Assist to record, the files do not have the same start time, and even though I told Premiere to attach the proxies based on timecode, they were not in sync. I haven't tried to attach them as proxies in Resolve yet (in case it's a Premiere communication issue), but it's worth looking into and being aware of, as it was a major blow to our post timeline because new proxies had to be generated in order to edit.
But really, no complaints at all. The cam is solid, the image is beautiful and is handling the grade quite well, and the client is beyond happy to have such flexible framing options in post for different needs across different platforms (product shoot). We shot on the Sigma Cine Primes (also rented through Lensrentals), because I wanted to resolve as much of that 12K sensor as possible, especially knowing there was going to be a lot of re-framing down the line, and they turned out to be a great choice as well!
