Receiving End. The AJA Dante AV 12G-SDI/HDMI 4K Receiver is designed to decode Dante AV Ultra signals up to UHD 4K into 12G-SDI and HDMI video via your Ethernet network and works in conjunction with the Dante AV 12G-SDI/HDMI 4K Transmitter. The Dante AV network is accessed through the ethernet port, which also supports power over ethernet (PoE+).
Ports and Design. This receiver can operate in your conference room, lecture hall, or event space thanks to its modular system design, and offers a front panel that provides five LED indicators that display power, codec, system, sync, and HDCP status. This unit is compatible with Dante Controller software which allows you to route the video, audio, KVM, VISCA, and IR connections via your network to the destination of your choice. As for inputs and outputs, the Dante provides one 12G-SDI and one HDMI 2.0 output capable of supporting signals up to 4Kp60, two USB-A ports to connect peripheral devices, and a mini-USB port to input your Windows or macOS computer. IR communication is achieved using the 3.5mm input and output ports, and last but not least, this unit supports HDCP 2.2 & has a DB-9 port for RS-422 serial control.
Dante’s Inferno. This device includes Dante AV Ultra Ecosystem, which is 1 GigE networking solution that delivers up to UHD 4Kp60 video at a 0.5 frame latency over IP connection, and also features JPEG 2000 codec. The codec supports lossy and lossless coding and has up to 16,384 components. To control this device, Dante Controller software is available and compatible with macOS and Windows. This software enables you to control the video and audio connections, but also allows you to switch between Dante devices.
