The Canon Cine-Servo 17-120mm T2.95-3.9 RF is one of the first ENG-style motorized zoom lenses for the Canon RF mount. Key features include:
- Constructed for professional production needs
- Next-gen e-Xs V servo drive unit with ENG-style grip and zoom rocker
- Perfect for RF-mount, Super 35/APS-C crop-sensor cameras
- Supports 8K/4K cameras with native RF-mount
Motorized Zoom. The Canon Cine-Servo 17-120mm T2.95-3.9 RF features an ENG-style hand grip and zoom rocker on an e-Xs V servo drive unit that offers fast focus and iris speeds, Focus Breathing Compensation, and a USB-C port for saving drive unit settings and maintenance history. Power is provided by a 12-pin Hirose connector (we provide a D-Tap adapter). There are three 20-pin connectors below the servo unit for connecting third-party zoom and focus controllers or for using as a virtual terminal to output critical metadata for virtual production.
Cinema Construction. Designed for professional production needs, the lens has dual focus drive gears (0.8 & 0.5), a zoom drive gear (0.5), and an iris drive gear (0.4). The 11-blade stepless aperture produces natural, circular bokeh and a soft light beam when shooting bright subjects. The built-in 3/8”-16 threaded mount attaches to an included Wooden Camera 15mm Universal Lens Support.
Super 35 Sensor Coverage. The Canon 17-120mm T2.95-3.9 is designed specifically for image sensors measuring 26.2 × 13.8mm and smaller. That makes it perfect for Super 35 and APS-C crop-sensor cameras, offering a focal length roughly equivalent to 27-192mm.
Try it with these RF-mount cameras. This lens supports Dual Pixel CMOS AF II with expanded distance measuring to make focusing easier when shooting in 4K. Only certain cameras are compatible with this lens function, such as the Canon C400 and the Canon R5 C (when in Super 35/APS-C or Super 16 modes only). Otherwise, this lens pairs with Super 35-sensor, RF-mount cameras like the Canon C70.
