Full Frame and Super 35 Coverage. The Cooke 50mm T2.4 SP3 Full-Frame Prime is a lightweight, high-quality Sony E-mount cinema lens with a true T2.4 aperture. This lens supports full-frame and Super 35mm sensors.
Superlative Image Quality. Like every lens in the SP3 series, the 50mm T2.4 gives you exceptional definition and resolution in the center of the frame, with roll-off at the edges when used wide open. As you’d expect, this lens excels at rendering images of faces with lifelike skin tone and character.
Cinema Design. This lens’s cine-style aperture and focusing rings boast standard 0.8 mod gears so that you can easily install a follow-focus system, lens motor, or lens-control system, and its 64mm front diameter lets you use almost any cine-style matte box. It boasts a generous 78° of iris rotation and a 160° smooth focus throw that gives you accurate focus pulling. The nine-blade aperture gives you smooth, accurate control with even greater precision toward the wider end.
Durable, Lightweight Build. The 50mm was designed for a wide range of shooting applications including hand-held and Steadicam, and it balances comfortably when used with compact cameras. A cam-style focus mechanism ensures smooth adjustments, while large, clear numbers on both sides of the barrel give your focus puller the option of working on either side of the lens. The body boasts a scratch-resistant PTFE hard anodized finish, which increases durability so that you can shoot in inclement conditions.
Matches Cooke’s Panchro/i Classic Lenses. This lens and every lens in the SP3 series is color-matched to the Cooke Panchro/i Classic lenses, meaning that you can use the SP3s on drone- or gimbal-mounted B or C cameras.
