The Litepanels 1×1 LED Spot is an advanced location lighting solution. Key features include:
High Power, Low Energy Consumption. The Litepanels 1×1 LED Spot is a 1-foot square array of over 100 LEDs that emits the equivalent of 500 watts 5600K (daylight-balanced) light focused down into a spot beam. It draws just 37 watts of power via the included AC adapter, mounts via a 5/8-inch adapter to a light stand or pole, and weighs only 3 pounds.
Silent, Flicker-Free, Low-Heat Operation. This LED array is completely silent, flicker free, and virtually heat free, all of which are major advantages. You can also dial in the light’s intensity.
Comparison. People who haven’t used these before want to know how much light the various litepanels put out, since the manufacturers seem to go to great lengths to avoid direct comparison. We shot identical images with the Litepanels MicroPro, 1×1, and Ringlite to give you an idea. Note that the room was completely dark except for the light. The camera was set to underexpose the images to clearly show the width of the light beam. For perspective, the camera is about 12 feet away from the wall, shot at 50mm—note the planter and electrical outlet near the bottom for perspective.
The lights are all stronger than this makes them appear; the shots are for comparison purposes only. The weakest light is the Litepanels MicroPro. It’s good for fill light, but couldn’t be your sole light source in a dark room, even for an interview situation. The 1×1 provides a stronger, diffuse light source, while the ring light is stronger yet, in a more tightly focused beam. The second row of pictures, again purposely underexposed, is to give you an idea of the light pattern at about 8 feet away.
