Sony BURANO 8K Digital Motion Picture Camera

The Sony BURANO 8K Digital Motion Picture Camera is a compact, full-frame cinema camera that supports up to 8.6k video capture. Key features include:

8.6k full-frame CMOS sensor
Supports X-OCN LT and XAVC codecs
Dual-base ISO and 16 stops of dynamic range
Includes E- and PL-mounts

Q & A

Where is the E-mount?

The E-mount is attached beneath the PL-mount.
Remove the six 2.5mm screws holding the PL-mount in place to access the E-mount. We’ve included a cap for the E-mount to protect the sensor while the PL-mount is detached.

What CFExpress cards can I use with the BURANO?

Sony recommends VPG400-certified CFExpress Type B cards no larger than 2TB.
