Are there any precautions I should take when setting this up?

Yes! Due to the design of the d-tap port, it is possible to install a d-tap cable in reverse, which will likely fry any attached and powered devices. Please refer to your external device’s manual to ensure you are correctly inserting the cable connector into the module.

Can I use this to power my gimbal?

No. This module can only power select on-board accessories like monitors and wireless devices.

Where should I install this on my ring grip?

This power module can be installed on either power port found on the grip’s top arm.
