Heavy Duty. The 1030DS head features a tilt range of +/-60°. Rated slightly better than the Sachtler 18 Flowtech System in terms of payload, this tripod can support up to 53 lbs. at 4 inches above the platform within that tilt range, 41 lbs. at 6 inches above, and 33 lbs. at 8 inches.

Quick Release. The 1030DS offers a sideload quick release plate, this allows for faster access with a longer plate, which means you have more range to balance a front-weighted camera rig.

100mm Ball Mount. Enables you to better level your rig.

Other Notable Features. The tilt drag is stepless, so you can dial in the perfect amount of resistance. Counterbalance can be set all the way to zero for use with smaller cameras.
