Great Gear

The monopod was to support the 200 ~ 500 Nikon lens rental, and it performed flawlessly, providing excellent stability and flexibility. Easy to compress and move, just a quality piece of gear.

not stable

I tried it with the sigma 120-300 lens and could not get used to it. I ended up not using it and actually walking around the field carrying all that weight. The camera and lens kept tipping. Could not get it to screw tight enough.

I like to go on

I like to go on birding trips a couple of times a year and I need a powerful zoom just for short periods. Of course these lenses are very expensive so it make sense to rent them.
