Worked well for shooting in Norway

The Gimbal Head worked well after I had to call customer service to get help changing the screw to attach the Gimbal.

Pretty good head

I ordered the wimberly type 2 gimbal head. I found it useful to have pretty decently locking independent motion knobs so I could adjust as I manually track the Sun for the eclipse in One direction lock on again and then go the other axis of direction which help not to lose it since not using a tracker makes tracking a fast moving sun on a large le...Read More

ns pretty tough. Still other factors independent of the head made it such that with my large lens it was a challenge to track but the well built locking knobs independent and smooth motion made it pretty good. I guess a perfect setup would have had something with also ultra fine adjustments so that I didn't overshoot but it is what it is. Barring such an ultra fine adjustment similar option in existing in the future I would happily rent the same thing again for similar purposes. Read Less

Fabulous gimbal head

This is the cat's meow for wildlife & bird photography. While it is a bit bulky, it makes up for it in the versatility it gives me when shooting animals and birds.
