Do I need anything else to get started shooting?

Nope! This rental includes everything you need to shoot with the Canon XF405, but you may be interested in more SD media or extra batteries.

What's the difference between the Canon VIXIA GX10, XF400, and XF405?

All three of these cameras are based on the exact same sensor and lens, with many of the same recording features shared. The VIXIA GX10 is essentially the base model.
Stepping up to the XF400 nets you the audio top handle with two XLR inputs and an ethernet input for wired FTP capability.
Stepping up further to the XF405 gains everything the XF400 did, plus a 3G-SDI terminal for professional video output.

What size HDMI port does this camera have?

This camera features a Mini HDMI Out terminal. Links to compatible HDMI cables can be found under Recommended on the left-hand side of this page.
Please note, HDMI cables are not included with this rental by default but are available as separate rental items.
