EW-DX. The Sennheiser EW-DX EM Two Channel Wireless Receiver (Q1-9) is just one part of the EW-DX wireless system that includes a basic kit with two handheld transmitters, a lavalier kit with two microphones and two bodypack transmitters, a combo kit with both a handheld and bodypack transmitter and a single lav mic, and the separately available SKM-835-S Handheld Transmitter. The entire EW-DX system is backwards compatible with each of the components found in the EW-D wireless system. The DX system supports more channels from greater distances with more bandwidth.
Wireless Excellence. The EM 2 receiver operates in the UHF band to enhance range up to 330 feet and to avoid interference in the 2.4 GHz band. Its 80 MHz bandwidth offers up to 3200 frequencies to choose from, ensuring you can find a clean channel. Switching diversity protects your signal against RF interference by comparing incoming signals with two independent antennas on separate circuits to maintain wireless quality, only switching when it won’t affect audio information. The EM 2 also boasts powerful encryption to secure your transmission and an equidistant tuning grid to eliminate frequency coordination between channels. Each receiver supports two connected transmitters and two channels of audio.
Fast, Easy, Dependable. The EM 2 receiver provides intuitive front panel controls along with two OLED screens perfect for displaying RF meters, transmitter battery levels, and audio output. The back panel features two balanced XLR outputs along with two unbalanced 1/4" outputs to connect directly to a PA system or mixing board. The EM 2 is a rackmount receiver, but hardware won’t be included with this rental.
Wireless Excellence, Again. There were just too many features to limit to one section. The free Smart Assist app enables bluetooth control over the EM 2 from any smart device for operation and monitoring. More software features enable monitoring and troubleshooting for all devices on your network. A list of useful softwares will be included in the Resources section of this page. The EM 2 can automatically scan all frequencies to find the cleanest channel, and it can pair with a transmitter from up to 120 feet away, so you can configure your system onstage or on location with ease.
